Mending

mend (mnd)
v. mend·ed, mend·ing, mends
v.tr.
1. To make repairs or restoration to; fix.
2. To reform or correct
I hate mending, especially other people's clothes. But I do it because I don't believe a pair of pants is ruined if a button comes off.  And I do it because it makes a little money I can spend on other things! So that is what I did this weekend a little bit of mending.
I wanted to share my "to do" note that my daughter Jessie doodled on:

And a drawing of me yelling for the dog to leave the birds alone

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

No Fumar

As of today I have been quit smoking for 8 weeks. I really feel good about it too.

Well the Double Wedding Ring has won the battle but not the war. I'm busy recutting my melon pieces, so glad I got extra fabric because it was mail order and I would have been in trouble otherwise!

A worthy opponent this quilt is but I shall over come. The other project I had the wrong sized pattern for! So my current state is frustrated and bummed. But it will make it all the better win I finally accomplish my goal in the end. (win/when ha!)

In the mean time some projects from long ago to make me feel better.

The second quilt I ever made. This was my "practice version" and I made another set of blocks exactly like these. Because of fabric and color choices this one turned out WAY better than the other one. 1994

Made out of a magazine Jess picked it out. Circa 2000

I designed and made this quilt for my daughter Jess (1997) She wore a hole in  it up at the top.

After I finish my double wedding ring I have the fabric to make Ms. Jo one, and I hope she wears a hole in it!
